We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Accountant to join Norgine in VAT team. 12 months initial contract.

The person holding this position will report to VAT Manager and is part of the Global Finance Team, which includes two Senior VAT Accountants. The Junior VAT Accountant will be involved in all aspects of European VAT accounting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions in Europe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Download reports and prepare VAT compliance filings for the group’s registrations, including VAT returns, Intrastat reports, EC sales lists, and other local filings.

• Support reconciliation of general ledger VAT accounts, and follow up on attention points from such VAT GL-reconciliations, including clean-up of historical balances.

• Support implementation of process improvements including new tax codes.

• Support transition to new VAT compliance software and testing of automation.

• Support data gathering following tax authority queries and internal audits.

• Download, and check the compliance of sales and purchase invoices.

• Review customer, supplier and item master data.

• Update working instructions.

• Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and Norgine’s outsourced providers.

• Support ad hoc VAT projects.

• Support ad hoc Customs work.
