Job Description:
We are looking for an intern to join our Global Procurement and Supplier Management team, specifically the Travel, Meetings, Cards & Fleet (TMCF) team. As part of the team, you will get to work closely alongside our experienced procurement professionals and play a hands-on role in sourcing initiatives, supplier relationship management, contributing to purchasing strategies, helping build out policy and processes, leading process improvements, and contribute to our systems and tools.

Travel required up to 5% of time mainly to our office
Responsibilities:
The primary activities include but are not limited to the following:

Work closely to gather business requirements from stakeholders to source a good or service from a third-party vendor
-
Lead cross functional teams through the sourcing process including individuals outside of the procurement organization

Support implementation of new tools and systems

Review ways of working and suggest simplification opportunities

Create reporting and business guidance documentation

Collaborate with procurement colleagues and stakeholders
-
Drive governance and consistency in to ensure a standardized approach

Use market intelligence to understand industry benchmarks, best practices, and market dynamics

Submit and validate third party due diligence requests as needed

Use a savings management system as a system of record
-
Ensure sourcing process is fair, ethical, and provides equal opportunity to all participants

Lead meetings and set project timelines, help outline deliverables, create new impactful programs, deliver content as needed

Support expansion of a new internal ServiceNow knowledge base (converting existing TMCF website content into searchable knowledge articles

Support data analytics work (customizing Power BI reports/dashboards based on global and regional needs) and help create presentation from Spotfire/PBI to engage with stakeholders
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Education:
-
Third-year or fourth-year undergraduate student, studying any of the following disciplines: business administration, international business, logistics management, supply chain management, or an equivalent field
Skills:
-
Must be an excellent communicator to work with both third-party vendors and internal cross functional Organon stakeholders

Analytical minded with an ability to analyze complex information and data sets

Project management to understand interdependencies between initiatives, meet timelines, and handle multiple things at once
-
A bias for action and decision making with an ability to influence without authority

Strong technical writing skills to be able to translate stakeholder business needs into a comprehensive list of requirements

General business acumen

High levels of accountability and ownership

Strategic thinker who can use knowledge of the market to drive recommendations back to the business stakeholders

Ability to quickly build strong relationships

Experience with presenting information to maintain a high level of engagement with the audience

Hands on knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Teams

Any SAP or COUPA system knowledge would be advantageous

Business intelligence/data visualization software and tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI
-
Strong written and spoken English skills
-
Flexibility to work with US/Eastern time zone
