(Senior) Process Engineer Polymerics

At Organon Oss, we specialize in the production, packaging, and distribution of human medicines for various purposes, including contraception, fertility, and anesthesia. Our facility manufactures a wide range of products, from tablets and injectable fluids to specialty items such as contraceptive rods and rings.
Technical Operations serves as a Center of Excellence within Organon Oss. The department is divided into multiple sections—Solids, Steriles, Polymerics, and Packaging—each comprising approximately 10 employees. These teams provide essential technological and technical support to production. Effective communication with colleagues on-site, across the Organon network, and with global and external partners is crucial to our success. The Process Engineer Polymerics role reports to the Section Lead Polymerics.
Main responsibilities
- Conduct, report, and coordinate investigations and process changes to enhance existing manufacturing processes, including powder blending, polymer extrusion, and welding.
- Lead or contribute to root cause analyses for deviations identified in manufacturing processes, ensuring effective resolution and process improvement.
- Define, specify, and procure advanced manufacturing equipment, and oversee the execution and reporting of equipment qualification activities.
- Facilitate the introduction of new products, materials, and components into various production units, ensuring smooth integration and process optimization.
- Plan, execute, and report development studies, including process and cleaning validations, to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
Your profile
- A bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience in polymer technology or another area within chemical engineering.
- Strong technical affinity and genuine interest in technical processes.
- Demonstrates critical thinking, persuasive abilities, and a strong result-oriented approach, while remaining flexible.
- Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food, or automotive is highly desirable.
- Expertise in polymer technologies such as extrusion, injection molding, or polymer welding is considered a significant advantage.
- Proven ability in writing protocols and performing equipment qualifications, as well as process and cleaning validations in a GMP-compliant environment.
- Proficiency in English, with Dutch language skills being a strong asset.
