The opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an Operational Excellence (OPEX) Program Manager for our site in Haarlem. In this role you will drive transformation by implementing the global Teva  Lean Management System (TLMS) program, coaching the team members and ensuring operational performance on all dimensions: Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost Competitiveness.

How you’ll spend your day

•    Lead & implement the site OPEX transformation Strategy, Master Plan, and Governance in support of Site Strategy and KPIs
•    Establish the desired objectives, performance measures and continuous improvement targets
•    Deploy TLMS, focused on:   Best in class systems, tools and processes; Employee engagement and empowerment; A mindset and culture of continuous improvement; and Creating our new way of working
•    Design the roadmap and targets for OPEX performance that integrates core processes, ongoing improvements and execution of the site strategy
•    Manage and assure alignment of site OPEX  initiatives with Site KPIS to sustain focused continuous improvement
•    Track financial and operational impact benefits on a regional level; problem solves with sites when on critical projects and ensures efficiency plans in place
•    Conducts OPEX assessments, and remediates gaps
•    Implement new operational improvement activities, while leveraging key OPEX practices from across network
•    Assure the site has the right skills and capabilities to deliver on the transformation and TLMS    -- coach, train and facilitate line management and change agents (incl., knowledge sharing of best practices).
•    Collaborate with Region or Global OPEX Leader to assure best practice sharing across sites (build OPEX community of practice) and owns the strategy for OPEX

Your experience and qualifications

•    Track record in managing OPEX and transformation ideally in a pharmaceutical environment
•    Demonstrated Lean and/or Six Sigma expertise with a proven track record of transferring lean knowledge and methodologies across a manufacturing network
•    Team management mentoring and coaching experience
•    Strong proven proficiency in Project Management
•    Ability to fully understand a P&L
•    Previous experience in managing complex organizations (Production Manager, SGM, Engineering Mg, MS&T Manager)

•    Set clear strategic OPEX goals, aligned with site stakeholders
•    Coach toward improving capability and delivery
•    Analytical mindset and strategic thinking, with the ability to navigate complex business challenges and identify innovative solutions
•    Courageously challenge and calls out and addresses risk. Make difficult decisions with foresight.
•    Self-directed, stable and perseverant
•    Willingness to learn
•    High integrity / values orientation
•    Oral and written fluency in English
