Senior Operations Business Controller Opportunity in Eindhoven, Netherlands
Your contribution in the role
As the Senior Operations Business Controller you play a critical role in supporting the operations business at the Eindhoven site for the Electron Microscopy business, part of the Material & Structural Analysis division within Thermo Fisher Scientific. You will be the primary finance business partner for the site operations director and management team. You will be leading and inspiring a team of strong, enthusiastic finance professionals to support the business in financial planning and reporting as well as decision making on investments and future proofing the organization financially. As a financial professional within Thermo Fisher Scientific you will have an important seat at the table with a chance to bring forward and share your ideas on everything finance and improvements for the operations business
Our expectations of you in this role

Be the strategic business partner to the operations director and site operations management team, aligning financial goals and operational objectives.

Lead and inspire a team of 4 finance professionals with focus on talent and personal development

Prepare Monthly/Quarterly Business Review packages.

Lead in all aspects of finance: budgeting, forecasting, costing, inventory management and investment decisions.

Initiate monthly cost reviews with business partners and stakeholders and bring forward view and opinions on optimization opportunities.

Drive strong focus on standard cost analysis to support improving and optimizing profitability for the business.

Lead analysis of productivity results and drive improvements in line with productivity targets.

Identify, develop, and implement improvements to existing reporting processes.

Identify improvement opportunities to automate, enhance and build analysis.

Continuous Improvement approach: Identify process and control gaps and champion improvement initiatives through process improvements
The education/ experience we would like to see

Bachelor’s degree and/or MBA in Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 8-10 years of dynamic finance experience with management roles, including finance leadership and experience in a global manufacturing organization
